As part of celebrations for the Queens Platinum Jubilee, staff and residents at Stricklands had a street party on site. The sun was shining and everyone had a fantastic time watching the entertainment from Babcock and Bobbins followed by a delicious picnic and ice-cream.
Due to the COVID19 pandemic, social gatherings at the support village have been put on hold to protect both our residents and staff. It has therefore been a difficult few years for all. The Jubilee Street Party was the first social event hosted at Stricklands since the beginning of the pandemic making it even more special to all in attendance. It was fantastic to come together again as a community and celebrate!
A big thanks to Ards and North Down Council who provided funding for our event, it was very much appreciated by all who attended.
