Reflections on “A Slice of PIE”

Reflections on “A Slice of PIE”

Last Thursday HarmonI hosted the first of hopefully many Lunch and Learn Sessions on Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs). The event, hosted at Malone House, focused on PIE in the context of Northern Ireland, reflecting on research and practice happening across the UK. The aim of the session was to introduce the concept of PIE to Northern Ireland and start a conversation on how to make our services (and wider systems) more psychologically informed – and that was certainly achieved. The discussion brought together many perspectives across a range of sectors and facilitated cooperation between service providers, policy makers and researchers.

We would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion as well as our special guest speakers, Robin Johnson (PIELink UK) and Anthony Lavery (NIHE). We look forward to continuing the discussion at our next session in September.
